Join me in sharing a warm welcome to Dante Callahan!
As our summer Graphic Design Intern, Dante has been doing incredible work with our Region Specific Curriculum Projects.
Tell us about yourself, Dante.
Hello, My name is Dante Callahan. I am currently a senior student enrolled at Notre Dame College. I have chosen to do my internship with Marina Palomino-Bach and Bright Side.
What type of projects have you been working on?
I have completed a project that required making a coloring book/ page of the Cleveland Guardian statues for kindergarteners to color on. Currently, I am doing a project called “Body Paragraph Poster “. This project involves using Adobe software such as Photoshop and Illustrator to draw famous and important people born in Ohio that younger people should know.
If you could go anywhere in Ohio with an influential Ohioan (past or present) who would it be and why?
I would probably choose Lebron James and would love to get on a boat and sail Lake Erie. It has been a very long time since I went on a boat onto Lake Erie. The last time I went was back in 4th grade.
Which of your teachers made an impact on you and why?
One teacher that made a significant impact on my life is actually Simon Reed. Simon Reed is also my Graphic design advisor and has devoted a lot of time and energy to help me progress as a young graphic designer. He has a lot of passion and patience for all of his students, I have actually told him this last semester.
